WE ARE HEADING TO THE HILLS!

WELCOME TO THE 2020 SOUTH AUSTRALIAN NF CAMP

The Children's Tumour Foundation camps are an opportunity for people and families living with NF to come together in a safe place to build connections, form friendships and enjoy some time away. A place where NF does not define you.

CTF has been organising annual camps since 2003 to give people and families affected by NF an opportunity to connect with others in similar circumstances.

It’s a chance to have a shared experience with people who understand the challenges of living with NF.

The stunning Adelaide Hills is the perfect location for a weekend filled with fun, connection and information.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Woodhouse Activity Centre offers a range of activities and experiences on-site for families to participate in. Offering fun for the whole family - adults and kids alike will leave the camp feeling energised and refreshed. You can join in as many activities as you like, including:

  • NF information sessions
  • Giant Tube Slide adventures
  • Disk Golf
  • Tackle Challenge Hill or The Labyrinth
  • Dinner around the campfire
  • Or you can just

We have had an endless amount of positive feedback on the effects that the camps have had on families and their children. We have received comments on how great it was for the children to get to know each other and the benefits of meeting new people. Others have also said that they really value connecting with people with NF who understand their experiences and give helpful advice to those who are newly diagnosed with NF.

Families have felt that forming new connections creates a stronger NF community, which is exactly what we are trying to achieve through the camps.

It’s warming to have a group of amazing people be so supportive of one another; to share those hard times and to have understanding. It was also great for my daughter who doesn’t have NF to meet other children who don’t have NF, but have a sibling with it. She had a ball and thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend.
